Dodge Stealth's are the shit! Not sure on any specs, but they definitely have power, and they look good at the same time. Pretty expensive still in my opinion, but that's because they are nice sports cars. You could beat alot of people in a Stealth!:aug2:

Wait, aren't the vr4 and the R/T basically identical?
But yes, a stealth is an absolutley fabulous sports car. Big engine, turbo charged, AWD.
They're dfinitily one of the best on the road.

They are EXACTLY the same, the only differences are cosmetic.

0-60 in the 6sec range and the 1/4 around 14.2-14.5 sec.
I think they make about 320 hp. Now this is the r/t turbo version. A civic could beat the non turbo verson. Underpowered, overweight.

yes the standard stealths and the 3000GT's are crap. they're front wheel drive and are waaaay over weight and waaaaaaay under powered. but i don't like how the stealth looks from behind. it just looks too cheap and it also looks really raised because theres no front spoiler either. it looks sort of like a 4X4 sports car IMO

0-100km/h - 5.7 sec
top speed 245 km/h

The 91-94 VR4 and R/T Turbo have 300bhp@6000rpm and 307ft lbs@2500rpm (kinda V-8 like) and run to 60 in about 5.2-5.5 and cover the 1/4 in 13.8-14.3, top speed is 150-156mph. They have a 3.0 DOHC 24 valve V6, twin turbo, twin intercooler, AWD w/limeted slip diff, and a 5spd trans. The VR4 adds Active Aero(front lip and back lower and raise when the hit 75 MPH, I raced one on the freeway, it was pretty tight), AWS all wheel steering, and cockpit adjustable exhaust.
The 95's+ has 320bhp@6k and 315ft lbs@2500, simply because it has a different boost solenoid(like 1.5-2psi more). Add a 6 speed manual and a new body, there a little quicker, and thats what you get.
All trannys are from the German company Getrag.
If I were going to buy a older used model, I would go with the Stealth, just because it doesn't have the extras that will break down.

Rear wheel HP will be between 12-18% lower then bhp. Depends on what type car and transmission. bhp does stand for brake hp but, not the brakes that stop the car. It is measured I believe at the flywheel.

Brake horsepower is how they (SAE I think) have measured HP since the mid-80's. Pre-mid-70's they used SAE 'gross' horsepower, like in the 60's magazine reviews how muscle cars almost always had 300+ gross horsepower, in SAE BHP it would only be like 220+/-. Yes, BHP and 'gross' are measured at the flywheel. Power loss is the least in FWD I think, not sure on the %, then RWD is 15%, and AWD is 25%. All are approx.

The 3000GT/Stealths are nice for daily drivers, but they weigh as much as a full size sedan! They also eat gas, and brakes too.
3800 lbs in running tune... Get an Eclipse/Talon, they can be made better performers for a lot less money than it takes just to maintain a 3000...

they aren't hard to mod...
there is a 900hp tt stealth around here..
and slickmotorsports.com just built a 500hp tt vr4...
fwd loses around 18%... which is alot when you look at it...
the hp loss is between 20-30 on cars up to 250hp...

also... hp on 60's muscle cars was realllllly underrated from the factory... considering that they usually made (on a rwd dyno outside of a dealership) the same or higher numbers than they were rated for at the crank...
there were cars that claimed hp numbers like 350 that made the insurance co happy, but they put down like 400 at the wheels... that was really common then, and it happens alot w/ the japanese supercars...
all are rated at  276hp... i read recently that a stock skyline put down 320 to the wheels right out the dealership...

900hp stealth? That would require a major engine buildup(piston, rods, headwork, 2 good sized turbos, tons of other stuff. But 400hp +/- 40hp is a good number for a stock internals stealth/vr4.
Muscle cars might have had a lot of power, but due to their 4000+ curb weight, the fastest ones 'stock' barely broke mid-14s, while most of their 0-60 times were around 8sec.

I don't kow about 4000lbs.
Vettes have never been very heavy, hell the fastest of all muscle cars, the Hemi dart was only someting like 2800-3000lbs. and it made WELL over 400HP stock.
