02 ram lamp out with chime

drive my truck and you would be chimed to death. dealer could not find the problem. ofcourse it would not chime for them. i noticed that whenit would start chimming it would stop if i would apply the brakes. i removed the tail lights disconnected the wiring connector cleaned the dust out of the connector and cured the problem. hope this helps someone

its a common problem on the taillights.
