RxP Gas Kicker

Has anyone ever tried this stuff? I have read a few other threads where people seems to believe it can help remedy a P0420 code (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold - Bank 1) I guess it would work if it's not the Cats that went bad but rather dirty o2/Cat/Combustion Chamber.

I've always been leery of liquid fixes in cars.

I know what you mean.. I have not heard anything about it. But I do not put additives in my truck. I beleive they mask or cause other problems. I would just get the o2 fixed.

I replaced the spark plugs and my random/multiple cylinder misfire code went away and is staying off for ~400 miles now. But the stupid P0430 is coming on. I am going to try this RxP (I know...SUCKER!) to see if it works like it says. Maybe they have a money back guarantee.

I had my truck in to the dealer for ABS recall a few months back and I can't believe they didn't tell me how bad my front calipers were seized. The front edge of the pad was gone, the back edge was like new. My new mechanic put new rotors/pads on and freed/greased the caliper pistons. I think I'm getting ~8mpg better than I was...woohoo!

Well, I guess either this stuff doesn't work or my bank2 o2 sensor and/or bank2 cat is shot. If the rear o2 sensor was bad, might I see P0430 code all the time even with a good cat? If so, can the after cat o2 sensor be cleaned in any way? The underbody of this truck has seen some salt water in it's day and was not properly maintained. Once a month I've been putting money into the truck to restore some neglected service area and it is yielding a pretty sound truck. I figure I'd be making a car payment anyways; may as well treat the truck right. The last thing I did was put new drilled/slotted rotors and axxis pads on the front. Man does it stop nicely now... Before servicing the braked, the calipers were rust seized on 1 piston. It took my mechanic hours to scrape off the rust and get the calipers working. I was tempted to get new ones but he said he greased the sh1t out of these and they won't be a problem. He also painted them for me (He used to be a race mechanic and thought I'd appreciate the red calipers). Anyways, looks like exhaust is where I'm at now and feel like I'm on a pretty short list of remaining items...phew!
