How do you owe $5k on an RS? What the hell did you buy it for?
Get a loan from a bank. Pay off whoever you bought it from. Then try and sell it.

If it was forced on you by your parents, don't you think they'd have a problem with you turning around and selling it?
Post it on Autotrader, Yahoo! classifieds, your local classifieds, etc. Wait until you get the price you want.

Nah what i think ill do is get a loan and pay it off and use the car as a down payment on the a gs-t or gsx and for the money thats left over use it for upgrades, does that sound like a good idea or no.

Sounds like an inefficient way to do it. Plus, it's going to be harder to find a reasonably priced GST/X at a dealer where you can put up your car as a down payment.
With that few miles, you should be able to get a good price for it. Sell it privately (see my previous post) and look for a GST/X in the process. If you find the GST/X, get a loan (putting up the RS as collateral) and purchase it. Use the money from selling the RS to repay the loan. It might take time but it will be worth it to wait it out. You've gone this long without a GST/X, you can go another month or so if you have to.

Do what I did with my Firebird. My parents wouldn't let me sell it even though it was my money and my car but it was in their name. Go and have it transfered to your name and then they can't say shit to you about it. Legally, you can do whatever you want with the car then.
Or you could always put full coverage on it and wrap it around a tree or something. That would be a quick way to get most of your money out of it. (Warning: I am not liable for anybodys problems if they actually try that. :icon16: )

What year is this? I will be surprised if you are even in the right forum, it's very rare a 2g has less than 30k miles.

Definitely. An RS isn't worth as much to DSM enthusiasts but in the real world, a 6+ year old car with only 26k miles is very valuable. Put it on e-bay, autotrader, put up fliers, craig's list...
You can probably end up getting a decent 2g GST/X and having some pocket change for mods or a beefy 1g.

Very very nice and clean car, you should get some good money for that. Put it up all over the net, you're bound to get someone to pay a decent amount for it.

Thxs so what do yall think sell it,or turbo the 420a,or put a 4g63 or check this out i heard u can put a evo 3 engine, but its to much money right i did some research on that, and i can get a 4g63 for 500 bucks nothings wrong with it its just he's selling it quick it has 60k miles on it and the turbo has no shaft play. And the evo3 i found one for 2,500 bucks, with 50k miles, so what should i do any advice im guessing, just stick to selling it right.

If the car is financed then the bank (or dealer if it was financed by them) should still have the title if you owe on it. That might make it hard to sell...

That's completely your choice. You would get quite a bit for selling it and then you could turn around and buy a turbo and put some money into it and easily have a 12 sec car, or you could take the less traveled path and turbo your 420a. It's all your choice
or put a 4g63 or check this out i heard u can put a evo 3 engine
The 4G63 is not worth the swap IMO. The engine/tranny is 180 different off of the 420a and it would cost upwards of $5000 to do the swap. There would be a TON of fabrication involved and you would have to re-wire the engine bay and all that good stuff. You COULD swap in an Evo VIII (not 3) just because it has the same layout as the 420a, but then again you'd still have to rewire everything and update all of the electronics. You're better off either turboing your 420a or selling it and getting a turbo. The turbo motor swaps are not worth it. Just my :2cents:

That thing looks like a pretty nice RS. Good luck selling it, you should do pretty well. Find the value at www.kbb.com (http://www.kbb.com) and see what it's worth. Mods won't add much value.

You know, that is one hell of a sexy car, and with that many miles you can drive it for another decade or so. I wouldnt sell it, I would keep it and use it as a DD, then buy and mod a 1g AWD. Thats what I am going to do, keep the Cavy to drive and have my 1g to blow the fuckin doors off of at the track.
