Hoping to get a little help. My father has a 59 Willys pickup. 4wd, v6. It's been used as a logging truck for probably 20 years and in doing so bent the frame and took a beating. It's also in the northeast so it's got some rust. The body work is easy enough, but what we're looking for is a substitute frame/chas. Imagine taking the body by the sides with your hands, picking it up (including the engine, trans, and transfer case) and trading it from the frame it's on to that of another. Know of any that would work fairly close? For example, is a 85 ford ranger frame a very close match? We can weld on new engine mounts and the like... well, you get the idea. The frame could be straightened, but with the rust it hardly seems worth it.

if your gonna weld all new mounts on then pretty much any truck frame that is the same size would work try and find one with the same type of front and rear suspension so you dont have to do too much modification to the new frame. but i would first see if i could find a stock frame from a junkyard that could be restored
