I have been changing brakes for years but on my 2003 Expedition I could not remove the Rotor by itself. It appears The whole assembly needs to be removed. Is this right or am I missing something????????

Once you have the brake caliper and bracket off the rotor should come off. Rust sometimes develops around the inside of the rotor hub, holding the rotor in place. The stubborn rotor can be removed by hitting it with a hard mallot from side to side(180 degrees apart).

Hi, The tollerence between rotor and hub is minimal at best, Rust is the culprit, I have had to break the rotors off in pieces they get siezed and will NOT come off......Good Luck ,,,,Clay...
