96 GC spark and wiring problems.

:banghead: My GC has a straight up no start, not gonna start problem. I've been through everything, and haven't came up with any solutions. The main problem is the fact that I have a weak spark, or no spark, depending on which cylinders I'm looking at. Checking the coil pack connector, I've got my dark green orange, hot wire, and two pulsing grounds. The third wire (red and yellow) doesn't pulse, but basically stays a constant ground. Firing a plug through the coil on the vehicle results in a very small, weak spark through all except #3 , they're dead, which I'm sure corresponds with the red/yellow wire. I've checked it with a new coil pack, same results. The only way I can get a good hot spark through a plug is to use the factory wiring with an old style coil, connecting it to the dk green/orange and either of my two pulsing wires, but it still won't fire the red/yellow (#3 ). Looking at the wiring diagram, basically the ignition flow is crank sensor to computer to coil pack. This vehicle has several new parts, including a pcm, but it still doesn't run. Any suggestions on where to go???

Is the battery fully charged?
Did you replace the Cam or Crank Sensor?
Are there any error codes stored in the computer?
Did you run a continuity check on all wires to and from the coil pack to the computer?
Was the replacement computer new or used?

Just brainstorming, the weak spark may be a low battery and plug 3/6 may be a bad driver circuit in the PCM.

Are the injectors pulsing?

Injectors fire fine, I pulled the crank sensor to look at it, but I figure if I'm getting a pulse to everything but 3/6, the crank sensor has got to be working. I didn't replace the cam sensor, b/c as far as I know, the cam sensor runs the injectors only. I'm pretty sure the computer was used. I didn't put it in, I was just told that the pcm was replaced. I was kind of along the same lines as you with the bad driver circut. Haven't traced any wires, but the thing that bothers me is the fact that I can't get a strong spark at any of the plugs. I did pull the crank sensor last nite and look at it, but it's not damaged or anything.

well, I figured out the weak spark, but the computer's a no-go. I ended up pulling the red/yellow out, and got a spark on the other two coil packs. The grounded red/yellow was taking all the power, so the other two couldn't throw enough spark. Still have a possible injector driver problem, and the computer won't work. I called about the computer, and sure enough it's out of a salvage yard, and it's got an anti-theft deal on it. On datastream, the van thinks that it's been stolen, so I guess even though I hate 'em, I'm gonna have to go talk to the dodge people to possibly get another computer, and also to get it programmed.
