Hello,

I have 1989 Ninety Eight Regency. I need to know which OBD it is equiped with so I can buy the proper code reader. Any help is appreciated.

6 years before obd11, it's obd 1.

i have a 94 LSS 3.8L blah blah blah...

not sure which system my car has (or is supposed to)

obd-II scanner reads "failed" when tested.

doesn't have a 'pin-b' like all the obd-I systems.

has the rounded connector like the obd-II system.

why would the obd-II scanner say "failed" if it's an obd-II system?

Not all scanners have the proper cable set up for that transitional year.

For personal use, Actron 9145 should work, check their website

you have a hybrid obd 1.5

actron cp9145 or whatever will read it
