I jsut put a rebuilt 302 in my mustange and changed everythong over to a V8 specs. but now when I try to drive it shakes really bed like the rear end is going to fall apart. But I can push it just fine. The shacking comes from the rear end, atleast that is where it feels like it comeing from. Also the firing order is different from what the specs. say and it back fires if I gas it fast. I need help.:frog:

My friend had a similar problem with his 77' Cobra II. He found out alot of the vibration was coming from his drive shaft. You might want to go get that balanced. He didnt feel his vibration till he got to around 60mph so it didnt bother him too bad unless he was on the highway. Some of the new power and torque you have could have bent the old drive shaft.:smoker2:

did you change your rearend?

if not you may be putting too much force through the smaller axel/differencial :bandit:

I changed the rear end but I didn't rebuild it though, and I think that might have something to with it. And it shakes from the get go. I can't even go 5 mph without it shaking. I might have to get the drive shaft rebalanced, but I haope not. But we will have to see. Thanks for the advice.:alien:
