Probably a dumb question, but i am about to buy an aftermarket exhaust, car was up for inspection, and the state tagged me on my exhaust from the cat's back. Not too big a deal cause i Do need a newer, better sounding exhaust.
On a 96, 3.8L, does the catalytic converter have a dual port opening that reduces to the mid pipe(hence the y)? Meant to take a look today while i had the car jacked up but i forgot, reason im asking is b/c i want to make sure i order the right cat back kit. Want the True dual........was looking at the dynomax.
Thanks in advance.

One other thing, is there any easy way to get new wheel studs back in their home? Tried beating one with a hammer but i couldnt get enough on it cause the brake backing plate is in the way, Do you need to take the axle out of its housing to be able to get these studs in?

there are companies that make a dual catback that splits the 1 opening from the y into two. but dynomax is a very quiet muffler.
