4:2:1 OR 4:1 header ???

It says on Dc Sports' website that 4:1 headers are for racing where the car is constantly at the redline. But all Rksport offers for the 2.2 cavy are 4:1 headers. What would be the best way to go for an everyday car that's rarely racing? 4:2:1 or 4:1?

Yeah, well i did search and all i can find are questions comparing brands, why is it so hard to say either "4-2-1 is better" or "4-1 is better" jesus christ, you guys are supposed to be helping fellow cavalier enthusiasts and you can't give me a simple answer.

If you bothered actually reviewing your search results thoroughly you'd turn up the fact that 4-1 is generally more high-end power while 4-2-1 is more mid-range power. You'd also find that in some states 4-1 is illegal (though not actually checked).

You are right, I do NOT know, hence why on my CAVY i put a 4-1 and my Honda I put a 4-2-1 based on the different car's weak points.

Both are useful, due to the larger displacement of the 2.2 and 2.4 engines, we have alot of low end power torque. So both will benefit no matter what, you may pic of more low end with the 4-2-1, but honestly its nothing too significant over the other.
