ending relationship?

Okay, my problem is i dont love this girl anymore. simple, But I dont want to be the one that pushes her over the edge and does something bad. She has bad self image. I have tried to help her think better of her self but i cannot do it. The thing is she pretty much will follow me off the edge of the world and do what ever i want. She is smart has her own style, average looking, and fun. The thing is she is not what i want in a girl. I want a girl with self confidence and feels she can take on the world, and ill be right there to aid her. My girl has big dreams but no motivation to do so. She want to get her licence but will not practice, not for the lack of resources.

I dont have that feeling for her, she is more of a close friend.

I dont know what to do...

Finacially(sp?) she is stable and we do share our current expenses.(we dont live together)


Her dad works at visions, i get huge discounts on anything they sell...


I dunno, any advice or comments?

you'd be better off as friends. don't stay in the relationship just to use her/her dad for a discount, that'll make you feel even worse in the end. be there to support her and try and help her realize that she's an awesome girl and that you care about her. try and find a girl that will suit you better too. do stuff to make sure you don't push your friend over the edge, be sensitive but don't compromise yourself just because of her problems.

Now, how in the world do I go about doing this, Its gonna get messy and lots of crying :( hmm ill wait a bit.

Hey man. I am in the same boat as you. My girlfriend does the same thing, they all do. I feel more like a really close friend to her, she doesnt feel that way. I have tried breaking up with her, she cried alot....they all do. Sometimes I get tired, then she pisses me off with some BS....try to break-up...next day I feel different....it truly sucks man, I know. Sometimes when I am alone, I don't miss her really much at all..but then when she does that one freaking thing that makes me smile or laugh I think to myself, "what the fuck was I thinking?!?!?!....where the hell else am I going to find a girl like this?!....WELL, the real truth is...they are out there. Plenty of them, trust me. Stop beating yourself up about it...it just makes it harder for the both of you.
