What is with St. Patricks Day? I have no problem with the Irish Celebrating it its just English people celebrate it aswell which I also have no problem with. BUT, on St. Georges day you hear nothing, or see nothing on English TV but on St. Irelands day you see english channels even changing their layout green! Why?:screwy:
p.s. If you are Irish dont be offended, I just want to know why English people hate their country!

it's just like Cinco de Mayo. it means very little if anything at all to most americans, except for mexican-americans. the others use it as an excuse to drink. i hate to admit it, but i do it also.

Anybody who needs to find a reason for a Nationwide pissup is either a nun or too young to drink.

Since there are more Irish people in the US than in Ireland, I'd say that's a good indicator (indi-hic-ator?) of why!

the english dont celebrate st georges day becuase they are ashamed. they are ashamed that they still have a monarchy and a ton of other reasons.
saint patricks day is fun. i used to live in the northwest england and i hated saying i was from there, now i live in texas and i jsut like saint paddy's because you see all these drunk rednecks looking for an excuse to get wasted
