Grill Question

this might be a stupid question.. but i'll ask anyways for those of you guys who bought ur grills.. does the top and bottom match up in design. becuz i have an APC lower grill.. (got for free!) and i just got an upper grill from ebay for like 20 bucks.. but i don't think they match up..now i don't know what to do. either put them on.. or just put the top and leave the bottom.. :confused:

sounds like you should just buy some chicken wire

speaking of chicken wire does any one know where you can get the mesh with the round hole design?

for the peeps who made their own grill stuff, where can i buy it. i dont want no chicken wire or gutter gaurd, i mean the real shit.

Just go to your home depot and make it yourself, $10. The grilles are the same shit home depot sells, the only difference it that one is $5-$10 and the other $60-$100. Be smart ppl dont get ripped off!

ok.. i have the grill.. now how do i put it on the lower part of the car? Do i cut the one that is on? or do i just put the new one on over it?? also how easy is it to take off the top grill.. is it just the 4 or 6 snaps holding it in?

Some home depots (like the 3 around me i went too) don't carry the right size stuff though. I'm still trying to find a sheet of it but all home depot has is like a 4in x 10in strips. I need bigger :(

What you guys can do is look in the phone book for a stucco supply place. The mesh they use to keep stucco on houses is the diamond shaped stuff.

If I can find the stuff, then how do I hold it on there? I need it for upper and lower. I found a place on ebay for 25 bucks upper and lower precut witht the clips... so i dont know what to do.. Thanks

dude, making your own grill is going to look funny, you can tell that it's homeade. i saw this one guy with a 93 integra using a cardboard with crisscrossing pattern drew with a marker on it so it can look real. i guess that's a alternative way to go if the chicken wire isn't your first choice.

Well that is definately different!.. I'm thikning about ordering that that is already precut with clips just so i don't mess it up. $25 ain't that bad..

i bought some of that home made harware store home depot shit and it was really...shit! it made me not want to do my grill anymore. a few weeks later in my local autozone, i saw the apc grill mesh and that was top high quality shit! i used the cardboard it came with as a template and it came out looking sweet! it made my wings west lip look even harder! i just held it in with a couple of black zip ties and VIOLA!
