So i just bought this Z31. It has 62,500 miles on it and it's a 1987 turbo model with every damn factory option available. In the city, i'm only averaging 11-12 mpg and i try to stay off the turbo, too. It has been sitting for quite a while with old gas, about 4 years since it has really been driven, but was driven to a local dealer in late '05 for all the service checkups and fluid changes. my question is if i should replace the plugs, and maybe the injectors too? i'll shoot for the K&N FIPK next week, that should help, and then the exhaust too. What is the model # on the plugs?

Thanks

Cody

also, will doing the intake and exhaust lessen the boost lag? the turbo doesn't seem to spool up intil 2700 rpms or so.....

yes, definitely DEFINITELY change the plugs... might want to test the wires and take a look at the cap/rotor as well... change your fuel filter and air filter...

oh and DO NOT go with the K&N FIPK or whatever the hell it is, that is a solid RIP OFF.... get yourself a generic k&n cone filter that's got a 3" diameter inlet(outlet??) to it and you can either attatch it to your intake resonator, or get a 3" piece of ss, aluminum or whatever else that won't melt above 100ish degrees and replace the resonator as well..

ok then screw the FIPK. i'll just buy the filter. are there any pics online of a custom resonator setup? i'd like to make mine thin walled so it's louder....
