i have a 1994 Sho 3.2 that hesitates from 1st to 2nd and now it will not shift into overdrive at all, but the o/d light is not on, i am aware it is an electronicaly shifted transmission, could it be some sort of shift sensors or cellinoids because the transmission does not slip just seems like it'd be more of an electrical problem
any ideas
thanks

Check engine light on?? You should scan the computer, it may show something(trans code) that won't set the light on.

The OD not working is fairly common on the SHO ATX. I'm not sure if the same tranny is used in other Taurii as well. There is a write up at http://www.shotimes.com/php-bin/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0&sid=102.
This same thing happened to my '93 SHO ATX. Purchased the $0.17 e-clip from Autozone and had OD again.
How long have you had your SHO? If not long and it's always done this since you've had it, depending on the severity, it may be normal. I was not happy with the delayed shift on my ATX and purchased the Doug Lewis LPM which remedied the shift issue. If it is something that has recently started, it could be something as simple as the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) causing the issue.
How long has it been since the transmission fluid and filter were changed?

the check engine light comes on every once in a while but i cycled the codes and it only came up with the O2 sensor,
i just put new fluid in it a few days ago it does seem to shift better but not what it should
ive only had this car for about 5 months and it just started doing it about 3 months ago
another thing when its cold , it shifts beautifuly, but when it warms up it starts hesitating

How would you rate the condition of the fluid you drained from the transmission? Was it brown? Did it have a strong odor? If you only drained the fluid and refilled, but didn't change the filter or flush the system you probably only replaced about half of the fluid in the transmission, torque converter, and tranny cooler. If the fluid is badly burnt, you may need to flush the system or drain and refill a few times to get most of the old fluid replaced.
You may want to join the SHOTimes forum/mailing list and check with them too. I'll have to check my service manual for my '93 SHO to be sure, but I believe even the '93 tranny program used a firmer shift when the transmission fluid temperature sensor was below some threshhold to prevent excess wear on the clutches due to cold fluid. I don't recall the details.
