I have a 1996 Firebird Formula with disc pads all the way around and I'm have a problem with my parking brake locking up, as matter of fact its completely locked up now so I can't do anything. I'm trying to figure out how to retract my piston, I have the single piston caliper and you can't do it with a C Clamp. I've been studying this for days and I still can't figure how to do it. I could force the caliper to slide off the rotor but I fear the piston throwing something at me, heh. Really in truly any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The rear calipers on these cars are notorious for probelms if they arent maintained/lubed regularly. If the piston wont go back in easily, you can crack the bleeder valve and try it then, then make sure you close it back off as soon as the piston is pressed back in. Also, youll want to slide the caliper apart and scotch brite and regrease those slides so they don't stick in the future.
