I was looking into buying a crapped out RX-7 and rebuilding the motor and making it my project car, is it easy to rebuild the motor, it seems like it would be easyier than a conventinal motor

No, piston motors are far easier to rebuild (IMO).
If your going to do your own rebuild then get the videos to go with it otherwise it probably wont run. :P

thats your opinion fdtt, my engine builder says its easier to rebuild a rotary, and he came from a piston background originally

It's relatively easy to rebuild one. It's hard to rebuild one right. It's relatively easy to rebuild one and make it run. It's hard to rebuild one and make it run for more than 10k miles. Checking housings for proper condition is rather hard. Making sure all the seals are perfect is hard.

I came from a piston backround. I can rebuild them in my sleep as well as rotaries. But unless you have some experance with rotaries then its not easy at all. Pretty much anyone can do it, but to make it wor for any lenght of time is what matters.
drift, your engine builder is an engine builder, it better be easy for him to build the god dam motors up. Its his job. LOL
