Im not looking to take my car to Auto cross or anyhting but i would like to get a little better handling outta my 04 4 door cavalier. I found Coil over spring on ebay to lower it from 0-4" but seem a little too cheap to be true. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on (Bumi Moto), (EvoVector), or (Bomb Effect). Once again im not looking to turn on a dime i just want somthing to help keep my coffee off my lap and reduce that horrible body roll i get w/ my stock suspension.

stay away from ebay. in my experience all they are good for is golf clubs, but then again, thats just me. what you pay is what you get. the higher price=better quality. just my 2 cents

^^Werd, I know from experience. I have Goldlines on my cavy, they are great, but any name brand springs will work better than stock. I can personally recomend Goldline.

Here you go, Jason wouldnt sell it if it was bad news. www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=50&j=21657&t=21657 (http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=50&j=21657&t=21657)

go to the link, look for either one of these threads ***$99 ZENN Lowering Springs SPECIAL BUY*** or *Tein S-Tech H-Tech Basic Super Street Suspension*

If you decide to go with the Tein's, go with the S-Tech, they will give a better ride and be lower.

do those springs work with the stock strut?? or willyou have to buy a performance strut to work with the spring? i baught coilovers off ebay and they never said anything bout replacing the stock strut...when i got them the spring was at most 1.5 inches around and wouldnt even come close to fitting over my stock strut

If you use stock struts you will blow them because they will always be compressed...you need like some KYB struts...

Depending on what kind of condition your struts are you may be able to use them for a short period of time before they will blow. Your cheapest performance strut will be KYB AGX's.

The reason the FLEA-bay coilovers didnt work well is because those cheap kits on there are not car specific, they are a type of universal coilover. Ebay coilovers = teh Gh3y

no i baught them off ebay specific for the 2000-2003 cavalier and it just never said anything bout a new performance strut...they were brand new and in excellent condition still wrapped and in the box...just needed a smaller thinner strut

evovecter is an ok company to deal with but bomb effect is the same company as aimspot very respectable company. I have delt with bombeffect on several ocasions now. I am running a set of coilovers from bombeffect and you will run into 2 problems. first your struts. I blew mine out in about 2 weeks and had to get new ones. so if you plan on droppin your ride GET THE STRUTS. and 2 the coilovers are a kind of ebay universal coilover. they WILL work but not without minor mods.if your looking for direct bolt on setup then RK Sport is your best bet..pricy but its a complete setup.

Here is my two cents. Do not do it wrong the first time. Anyone that knows will tell you that going lowered on stock struts is bad. I know a few people on here (KustmAce is one) that is lowered on stock struts. He says his car rides perfectly fine. But eventually they will blow. If you go with lowering springs up to 1.5 inches I would reccomend the KYB AGX's. They are warrantied to 1.5 inches. The GR2's are OEM replacement. B & G are good springs from what I hear and is a 1.6 inch drop all around. Goldlines are 1.75 all around. Eibach Pro Kit is 1.4 inches all around and the Eibach Sport is 1.7 front and 2.3 back. If you are looking for more than a 1.5" drop you could get some Koni Yellows or Tokico D Spec Struts. Gravana Tuning (http://www.gravanatuning.com) has a nice price on the SPRING & SHOCK COMBO: Koni Yellows with B+G Sport Springs. It's $700 and you are getting lowered 1.6 inches all around.

I agree with everything said above. If you can afford to do struts and springs at the same time, do it. I couldn't, thats why I am still on stock struts.

I have Tenzo springs if you are interested. $119 shipped from aplusperformance.com

the only thing i can say which i think most will agree is why do it twice.
