prelude vs mustang?

so i have a 2001 prelude stock, and my girlfriends dad says he will "leave me in the dust". now ive driven his car and i dont know i dont think he would get me by much if by any to tell you the truth. its a 2000, and its a GT and he definately knows how to drive unfortunately. im gettin an AEM cold air before i finally race him and that should be in a few days, not that it will make much of a difference. just wondering what everyone thinks, cuz it would be so nice to spank him. lateron :evillol:

dont get offended by that statement...and the GT will leave you in the dust especially if he can drive...now what the other guy said was true...if your H22 was in a hatch you just might stand a chance but if its in a lude its soo much slower

the stang gt runs low 14's second 1320's

prelude i beleive is mid to low 15 seconds(if i remember correctly)

but i tell ya, things happen on the street. and he could misshift or something and you might be able to pull out the win.

but as long as its safe just race and have fun, the more you race the better you become.

When I see people like you on the message boards I see a young teen who was influenced by the media to get a prelude for overall reliability, economy, handling and acceleration, which by no means is a bad idea by itself. Mustangs get horrible ratings for just about everything except for acceleration. But then once you realize that the car is not god as you have heard and it can't run with the average muscle in stock form, you cry like a baby.

I'm surprised everyone was nice to you for bench racing. HT would have eaten you alive for this.

No, a V-6 w/ 4.10's and bolt ons would take him because it had better gearing and bolt ons, and honelstly it'd still be a close race. My d series even ran with an older gen V6, a 95.

And I was driving a 115 hp d series. An h22a can make about 200 crank hp, which has about 80 hp on me.

2000 Mustang GT. 263 HP,409 NM of torque. 0-60MPH 5.5 seconds.
2001 Honda Prelude H22. 200 HP.0-60MPH 6.9 seconds (with AT).
