The rule of thumb for the minimum replacement CCA is double the engine size in cubic inches then allow for cold starting temperatures and other accessories useage like AC in hot weather and stereo equipment.
I would go for the highest CCA you can find and still fit without modifications. 600 seems a little on the low side for my preference. The one I just replaced was a 700 and I went to a 900 CCA this time.

My rule of thumb, buy the biggest badest battery you can shoe horn into the tray. If it saves you one time from being towed or stranded, the few extra dollars will be worth it. Interesting point though, my '99 Caravan 2.4l came from the factory with a 600 amp, my '00 G Caravan 3.8l came with a 500, go figure.
After the 500 failed at 4 years of service, I replaced it with a 900.

yes the 600 seems a little on the low side for my preference too. The one I went to is a 875 CCA this time @NAPA Auto Parts $4 more then a mopar brand 600 CCA

600 CCA is deffinately on the low side, the last battery I had 875 CCA. I just got a new Optima Red Top which is 800 CCA, but hey nothing beats an optima.

I agree with dksob81, i also have an optima redtop and it works great for starting when its cold, and i have a system running from it too. works fine.

I went with a AutoZone Gold 1000 cca. I almost bought an optima battery for it but decided it was too much(overpriced).
