i was talking to my co-workers and both of them are Master techs, about picking up a 90 talon. they tell me the motors have more or less a problem with heating up... i think the direct words were "they get hot once and they blow"... is this true? and if so is there a way around that? i mean the tech has to of gotten better ofer the past 16 years, more efficient radiators, more efficient thermostats, better oil coolers, all to help cool the motor. (even though one of the things that keeps the motor cool is the air and fuel going into the cylinder, this the other coolers should help) or when i buy one should i invest in a hood that will help extract heat?

I have never heard of an over heating problem specifically other than the general probelms when people dont change their coolant and if the thermostat goes out and that kind of stuff

well one thing is true, if they got hot once, you can definitely warp the motor, but that's true with most cars
this is in performane because???

Sorry, but I been waiting a long time to post that pic.
The radiators in these cars are fairly big in comparison to the size of the engine IMO. I don't see how they would overheat without good reason (thermostat stuck, blown HG, etc). I haven't heard anything about these cars having overheating problems. :2cents:
EDIT: zx2guy, stop debating about getting a DSM, it is a no brainer. You gotta have one :D. Now get back in the game and "name that car". I got a real stumper posted Hehe!

You'll get there. I remember my last 150-200 posts before 1000 seemed like forever, and then after 1000 they go by like mad. About a week ago I thought I had 1,200 and I looked and saw 1,400-some. It was sort of like :eek7:

well thats really good to know. i kinda figured with him being a master tech he would know. but that is also why i dropped the thread to and for the guys who know dsm's forward and backwards.
im no longer debating on getting one its now to me right one i want. and in the meanwhile checkingout the different myths and all that other fun jazz.
