wastegate help

ive been working on my talon alot and i took my turbo and all that off to make sure everything is in top shape well my wastegate looks like hell i dont know why but it wont open at all(this is a 92 with the stock 14b) i took the o2 housing off and there is a crack going the whole way across where my wastegate should open do you guys think my turbo is shot or needs a rebuild it has some shaft play also. ive tried everything to get it open

The 14b is notorious for cracks, but I don't see how a crack will keep your wastegate from opening. It is a very simple thing. Look to see if it is bent anywhere.

if you take off the acuator arm it should flob around like a dying fish, if not spray it with some wd-40 or bust a nut or anything like that and see if you can get it unstuck

does the crack go all the way through to the outside??

i dont think but it is pretty thick its not just a hairline in a couple spots its like little holes

and that's in the O2 housing right? i'd get a new housing.

no my o2 housing is fine this is where my wastegate actuator is it wont open at all no matter what i try and it has that big crack from one side to the other
