Hi
I have this 94 Aerostar with V6 3.0 motor. Recently it is running very rough, the engine shakes like crazy, and I can not get up to 80 kpm.

I got the following codes:
116: air temperature sensor out of self test range
114: coolant temperature sensor out of self test range

and 212: ignition control module failure or SPOUT short.

I took the air temperature sensor off and clean it, but 116 is still there, so I guess I will need to replace it.

For 114, I could not find where it is. The manual says it is on the front of the engine, but there are 3 rubber pipes that blocked the view (I assume these are AC pipes?), I could not see through them. And there is wire harness near by, that is not connectted to anything http://www.rangerpowersports.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif

Where is the coolant temperature sensor located?

And for 212, I could not find the ICM. I know some of the older Aerostars have TFI ICM mounted on the distributor, but mine is not, and according to the manual, it is supposed to be mounted on one of the radiator supports? But I could not find it, there is no wire coming in or out that area.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
