Who's going to GoX2?

Just out of curiosity...Who on this board is going to GoX? :spit: :buck

I am already packed, actually! Clothes are packed, toolbox/recovery backpack is ready, have two cases of beer in downstairs fridge! Just need a bag of pretzels for food!

i'll be there!!! not packed at thing so far, i'll pack clothing the thursday night before. :) but will be doing a few last minute mods and such not to prepare, getting the new tie rods and lift kit piece installed up front on saturday. getting a tranny cooler installed next week too. as well as a bunch of routine maintenence.

unless someone needs a microbrew from out here, then i am bringing no beer, i don't drink it. I am bringing some of the best root beer you will ever taste though. i'll leave the normal beer to you guys.

Toy Man and wife will be there.

Side note: We currently have a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo reserved at the Alpenglow and the other couple had to cancel.

So we are looking for someone who might be interested in sharing this condo. 4 nights - Sunday thru Wed. Email me if interested.

I can't go this year - buying a house @ the end of August and planning a wedding has taken all my time and money.

I will be hitting Moab sometime next year for sure.

<me too> It looks like I'm stuck driving alone from St Louis. I'm not sure yet if I'll camp or split a hotel room with someone, but I know I'll be out there. I'm hoping to get some X armor before going out to the mountains. Rock is far less forgiving than mod/brush/etc... </me too>

All the GOX trails are stock friendly. It's Moab that you have to worry about. :)

Well this newbie is also going to GOX although I will be sporting some new hardware namely an arb and sliders.

I hope I don't give anyone the impression that I know what I am doing I am a straight amateur who wanted armor to avoid damage.

Schlud......as long as you don't make me wear full BDU's boots and my M-60! I damn near drowned in drown-proofing class! :D

Did you get rock sliderz?

I ordered the arb and am ordering sliderz next week havent decided on eoe or calmini just yet. I believe eoe is taking sliders for sale at gox so if I go with them I will probably buy them and install them there.

I plan to deviate from the trips led @ GOX2. I hope to get out a bit (away from everyone else), and do some more challenging trails in addition to some of the group trips. GOX2 is just my excuse to head out there. I'm also planning on doing some hiking and rock climbing out there. I have to cram a lot of vacation into a little time.

That's pretty much what FSR, Pika, Craisy Daisy and myself did last year. There's plenty to see, that's for sure. Have a blast!

If you at some point you could stand someone to go with you on those harder trails, let me know. same goes for hiking. as for rock climbing....you are on your own for that one.

Ditto, I would like to take some more challenging trails at least one of the days. And I don't do alot of serious climbing, but do enjoy bouldering.

I suggest "Die Trying" near Montrose. That should be challenging enough for you.

This is for anyone staying at the koa campground. I am compiling a list of gox'ers staying at the koa so that I can call them and tell them we are with gox so they can put us all near each other.
