Minidreams goes old school with TE27

well got this mid 05 and finial got it to the bench , It a curb side kit so most of this is going to be on out side apperance but anyways i am having fun with this ! I smooth out the bumpers relocated the mirrors to the door but add my own style , sit the stance and add 4 wheel disc brake system , I have yet to decide what color or colors to do this in but i am doing the interior gray, tan ,and buck skin , so pretty much anycolor should work you guys here @ AF got any ideas you could share ? well here a few shots Hope you all see where i am onthis Later Hope you like !

Sweet! I actually thought it was already painted in the first picture! I think it looks great in that green...whatever you do don't go all "minidreams" on it and paint it like that Corolla below it:grinyes:

Love the stance and the smoothed bumpers...

I love the stance and wheel selection, This should be a real beauty.
Are you keeping the wheels chrome? black spokes and chrome outer rim might look nice.

i would love to see it like a deep red color. or like a cool blue color. can't wait to see this thing in progress.

The wheels are a bit new-school for my liking, but w/the stance so low they don't look outrageous. Any bigger and it would look silly.

Color scheme is always a personal thing. The simpler the better usually IMHO, if you two-tone it think about some of the simple schemes seen on a Foose car.

It's also really easy to convert to LHD. It's a really fun/satisfying kit to build -it had me thinking about converting to an RX3 which I'm glad I didn't since now I've got one straight from Fujimi w/o the effort :) . I did mine in Tamiya pearl light blue to resemble a friend's 1:1 that he had in the 70's/early 80's, and at that time his was the only cool looking Corolla that I had ever seen-he installed the flares, and had the suspension/rims to make it look a lot meaner than a stock Corolla. His had Minilites, I used some other parts-box Fujimi rims that looked suitably "vintage tuner". I was more than pleased w/the results.

i love the first pic! the ride height at that, and the dark green look awesome. maybe the same green, but metallic? nice big flakes (Y) probably a little 'plain' by your standards, but i think that looks awesome. think i just changed my mind about my future mk2 escort project.......

I agree with 675datsun. It would look awesome in a deep green. Maybe with a slight gold or silver pearl. Leave the rims chrome aswell. And possibly chrome the bumpers.

Whatever you do it will look awesome. I'm going to follow this one till the end. Good luck dude.

thanks for the ideas but after thinking all day on it i got an idea LOL!Yes its going to be a sum what minidreams vs foose ,with the colors being purple /mist rose and torador red , Getting any hint yet as to hows its going to look ?!?! Well i have already shot the colors and right now i am starting to BMF the window trim . I tought that they would look good and it should help the chrome wheels a bit . I will post pics in a few ! I am tring to get this cleared today why the temp is steady here in MO. well back to work Later

got the BMF done and put 4 coats of clear now time to let it dry ~ i will have to polish tomorrow ,it has a few dibts in in it , but tell then here are a few pics of what i got done ! Oh its not too wild and i did a mock fit before clear and belive it or not this thing look MEAN ! here you go !

Sweet Paint!!!

That paint looks awesome. What a cool idea. Are you going to make a new muffler or anything. Cause if you do I think a dump tip would look awesome coming out the back of it.

how the hell do you do your paint like that !!! i mean i can do air brushing and stuff on bonnets and filler cap of real cars but i can never seem to get it right on models, spot on that is !!!
