simple question

just a quick question. im replacing the rotors and pads on the front of a 91 prelude SR (canada spec) and im not sure if it is necessary to remove the Axle nut in order to remove the rotor. do i just remove the bolts on the caliper inside the wheel well? any suggestions on getting leverage on those bolts without screwing anything up? any suggestions would be a great help.
