Air Bag Sensor Testing

I have a 1993 Taurus with a 3.8l engine flashing a code 42 on the air bag system. Is there any method of testing the radiator support sensor before spending the $150 for a new one.

Wouldn't touch it-too many bad things can happen when you mess with the air bag system, other than to disable it. I'd head for the dealer on this one. Just my opinion. Alex
