2001 lude burning oil badly...anyone head of this?

my 2001 is burning oil pretty badly. I know its not a ring beacause i did a compression test, and i opened the valve cover for a look see and didnt see anything odd. I have heaver heard any weird noises either. maybe a little gurgle from my header exhaust area. no leaks, no smoke..i have no idea, but i burnt 2 quarts in a month. someone let me know if they have ever had this problem or know someone.:banghead:

How often do you hit VTEC?

well.....it has only been a month since i got itsooo you can probably figure i have been hitting it too much. but i had an accord and i was always scootin around in that and never lost a drop. i wouldnt think 2 quarts in month is a reasonable amount but i really dont know. it would make me feel alot better to know that my car isnt messed up though. :shakehead

Well VTEC burns alot of oil, so just moniter it and keep it filled up.

I have my motor down to a GAURANTEE that once I hit VTEC I am burning oil and basically turning the oil to black sludge .. requiring basically an immediate oil change. Its a very common problem and I have not figured out the cause yet..
