hey guys i have a 1992 olds eighty eight royale had a problem with stalling and had no codes so i cleaned out the throttle body and i ended up getting a code 22 from it. Now it turned out it was the spark plug wires causing the stalling. so i replaced them and replaced the tps and i still have a code 22. any ideas how to fix this or if theres a special way to set/install the tps to make it work.
thanks
thanks

Did you replace the sensor? If so reset the computer and go from there.

Must be set to .45-.55 volts at dead idle, use a scanner or voltmeter.

have it set to .48 at idle and its still throwing the code even after i reset the computer. Also my ding dong father started up my car with the paper clip in the aldl connector what happens when you do that??

Probably "fried" the computer, so the reason why the light isn't going away cuz the computer is damaged. Maybe not to the point where it can't operate the car but damaged it in other ways.

they had to set it through the aldl to make it work. but that fixed the tps code so now there are no stored codes in the computer. but yesterday i got 2 traffic lights down the street from the garage and unfortionatly the rough idle came back the car was bucking and it stalled. i put it in netural and it started right back up. and i left now that only happens once or twice a week and i have no clue whats wrong with it no codes are stored and the garage that scanned the car scanned it cold and warm and it showed up nothing at all.
any ideas?
could the iac be sticking and causing it to do that only once in a while or is it something more major because when i pull the oil filler cap off it throws the car into a rough idle.

Forget codes now, that is not going to find the problem, look for a bad pcv valve, or connecting hose to it, check for the egr valve sticking and not seating.

pcv is fine and ive changed it also my car is a 92 vin L so it does not have a egr valve
