white and black are cheaper than any other color. if you are going northstar white expect 600+ from the absolute cheapest job at my mechanic's shop or upwards of 3k$ if you want an excellent job.

the pearl white (like my car) is more expensive since it is a 3 layer paint (i think) i do kno it is more complex and it takes longer

Does anyone in here with a Black car have their clear coat blistering ALL over the place? Mine started doing it just after i got the car (it gets real sunny here in the summer), and now it is like all over the car. It looked at first like it was just a hotspot on the hood, but now its like on the doors, roof, and hatch. I was just curious if it was an overall shitty clear job by Mitsu, or if i just got a shitty job.

is the pearl white a factory color?
where did you got your clear corners and how much did they set you back?

pearl white is a factory color after 2002, northstar white was before that.

every part except my taillights and rear strut tower bar i bought USED, its super cheap that way. I kno a guy selling his smoked front corners for an 03+ for like 35.00 if you are interested. Mine were 35.00 shipped used/new.
not expensive. If i come across some i can point you in the right direction used, new i don't kno...

No, like the clear coat is just peeling off. The paint is still there, but the clear just comes off. It looks like my car has skin cancer, and i hate it, it never looks clean.

Maybe you can use some rubbing compound or polish to get the peel off.

Its like cancer, spreading everywhere. There is nothing i can do to stop it, or make it look better. I took a razer blade to some spots to get all the clear off and put some clear nail polish around the edge in hope of stopping it, but no use. I just need to get the whole fucker resprayed...1500 bucks would be nice right about now.

have you considered just sanding it all down and doing the sport compact car version of flat black? they did that to an STI and it didn't look bad

otherwise good luck, sorry to hear its peeling

From what I have heard that there is a major paint defect with the black eclipses and stratus. Something dealing with the clear coat. I remember there being a topic on it a CLub3g a while ago and that there was a lot of people that was having issues with it

thats actually not that bad an idea. Ill look into it. Ive been thinking about getting a spray gun ( already have a pnumatic setup) and just working on my paint skills. I dont think it would be that hard honestly, with a little work i bet i could make it look pretty good.

yup, they didn't even have a paint gun in the magazine though, they had 26 cans or so to do it

and again! good luck!!
