front hub assembly

I am having a front end problem which from all of the threads I have read it sounds like my front hub assembly on my 2000 ZR2. My question is how can I tell which assembly needs to be changed? In my situation the noise stops or gets quieter when I turn left and gets worse if I turn right. From what I have read it sounds like this is the passenger side assembly but I could swear the noise is coming from the drivers side. Is this a common misconception. Thanks.

Those symptoms would indicate that the driver's side is bad.

Jack both of the front wheels off the ground and slowly spin each tire. A bad hub you can hear and feel without a problem.

when you turn right, which way do you go? towards the drivers side, which means the suspension is loaded on that side, and the passengers side is unloaded, load the bearing and thats when it gets worse (usually)

I have the same symptoms on my '99 Blazer. When I jacked it up - like BlazinMlew stated - I was able to tell it was the drivers side. It only takes a few minutes, and you'll know where the problem is.
You will probably find out that it is your drivers side hub assembly.
