What did you do to switch your tranny fluid to RP? Was it all flushed out, or did u just drop the pan and add 5 quarts?

I have used royal purple since I got my truck.........And the first time I put it in my truck felt like a airplane......(note: I also put royal purple in my transfer case, and heard knocking noises, bad idea..........the ONLY fluid you use is the Auto trac 2.....and no other one......everything esle bangs.....)...........Funny thing is that I just finished changing my fluids about 1/2 hour ago........Changed my engine oil, transmission fluid/ filter change, front and rear axles with royal purple, transfer case with the Auto Trac 2, and fuel filter...........I also clean the half ton of grass, and soil under my truck......(from the off-roading)........funny grass can come in weird places.....Anyways, it only took me about 6- 7 hours to do, and my garage floor, looked like world war three, had come....... But when I took, the truck out man it felt like I had a mach 10 vehicle, it really does give you more horses, for sure, especially the rear diff change......Anyways, tommorrow the new powerslots will be going on, with new pads, and new brake fluid........I will also, try to change out my collant as well.....Royal purple RULES...........Sorry, for bragging on........

You should flush your system first but not through the machines, and then just change your fluid with the filter, every 30-40 k.......

Not sure on your question but.........
Front Diff-Royal Purple 75w90/ 2 1/2 quarts.......then Transfer Case-Auto Trac 2- 2 1/2 quarts......and then Rear Diff-Royal Purple 75w90 2 1/2 quarts......hope this helps.....Royal Purple does not make a 85w90.......but it is perfectly safe to use 75w90 instead..........

so if you use royal purple in your engine, are there any long term results yet about how long the engine running with royal purple will last? theres lots of snake oil out there ya know, and it sucks to fall for one, so you have to be damned sure its the real deal lol. As for the differentials, is the certain weight you put into them of royal purple actually able to be put into posi-traction units? at least on older chevy posi units, you had to go get an additive to put in with the gear lube 90 or else the posi would go out soon or wouldnt work in the first place... happened to a kid i know with a camaro, the posi wouldnt work until he put the gm additive in there
