I am trying to install front brakes on my brothers escort I think it is a 98, just wondering how to take off the disks., I have done brake jobs before but they were usually just an allen screw. thanks for the help

should be 1 or 2 screws, then hit w/ a hammer to break the rust lose.

I didn't see any screws are they behind the disk? All i saw was the hub, and a nut on that do I have to take that off?

Mine just have 2 gold colored screw that hold the rotor on.

If I remember correctly, the caliper has two pins that hold the pads in and two bolts to the spindle on the inside of the rotor to remove it. Once the caliper is off and out of the way, you can either hit the the rotor on the back side to break it loose or use metric bolts in the threaded holes on the mounting flange of the disc to pull it off.
