Bleed the Cooling System?

When I start my car and it is cold, I hear a gurgling noise that comes from the dash. I heard it was because when I got a new rad installed they forgot to bleed the system so there is air in it? Any help with this would be useful and a how to would be better.

best solution that i've been told with our cars is to park on a slight incline going up... start up the car and run the heater full blast... Have the coolant cap off with the hood up and just let it run and you should see the coolant level go down... think uhm about 15-20mins or more should do it... and when the level stops going down fill it back up with the appropriate coolant... I got lucky and snabbed a gallon of Dex-cool from my local car shop :)

Hope this helps,

There should be a bleeder valve right behind the water pump. Start it up and crack the bleeder valve. This worked on my 99. Took about 10 minutes.

Does anyone know where I might find a replacement bleeder valve as well as the metal line to it from the overflow tank? The valve has a slow leak and any attempt to tighten or loosen just bends the metal line to where I am fairly close to cracking it.

Thats probley a dealer part, but one from a salvage yard would work fine, well ass long as its not cracked!
Didnt say what year your GA was and engine, but I think that 99s+ are the same and 93-98 are the same.

The bleed works good if thiers not a bunch of air. it does help get that last bit that sticks in the heater ;)
