ok so right now i have a 97 civic dx with some wheels and an intake, shifter, some small no good stuff basicly... anyways, i like the car, but ive always wanted a 5th gen hatch... what im wondering is since i already like the body style of the 5th gen hatch better, and from my knowledge, its easier/ less exsepensive to swap engines into, should i sell my car and get a 5th gen... i think it is easier and cheaper because obd 1 engines and ecu's are easier to comeby ... like an obd1 gsr swap would be less than an obd2 gsr swap correct? it just seems like the logical choice for me? i posted this just for a talk subject so have fun with your opinions, looking forward to hearing them!!! thanks

You should get which ever one you like best. I personally drive a '94 CX, but only because of emissions testing (they only test OBD2 cars here in upstate ny).

yeah, well the thing is, i do like the 5th gens better, its easier to do engine swaps because of the emissions laws, which arnt to bad here in pa. so yeah, finding a hatch for a good price is difficult though... and when u find one for sale, its always sold, lol!

it might help stop some problems in the long run.
i would go for it if you like the 5th gen better
