Hi all,
I have a 93 concorde and recently just installed a brandnew sony cd/mp3 player in it
Everything works great, all the functions work fine, but when I play a cd or mp3 cd, it displays the right tracks, counting down, but absolutely no sound !!! :banghead:
Anybody got a clue ??
Thanks all
Oscar

it's highly unlikely that 4 speakers will die at the exact same time, so I'd suggest taking the unit out and making sure that it's wired up properly. The other thing you have to look out for is if you have premium sound on your car, you'll have to bypass the amplifier.

Well I had one before and it didnt work, so I thought the CD player was busted and ended up buying a new one.
All the wires matced up, I used the concorde wire table to verify each one of them.
But...., I DO indeed have a Infinity Premium sound set in the car.., where can I find more information regarding this ?, it would really help me out alot !!
Thanks

I've had similar problems (twice). One time I found that a fuse had burnt out. I believe it was a 10A for the horn, cigar lighter, and something else. I forget which fuse number it was, for some reason 7 or 9 seems to make sense. I had infact checked all the fuses prior, but I got a tip from someone. That solved the problem that time.
The second time it turned out to be a remote wire for the amplifier (Infinty Premium) that wasn't connected, and the wiring harness didn't seem to provide for it either. It was so long ago that I can't remeber how I found it. Make sure the antenna main plug is plugged all the way in, and try to chase the amplifier remote wire up into the dash (I think it was plain blue). The more I think about it, I used the original radio to troubleshoot it by disconnecting different sets of wires, until I isolated the one that I needed.
Best of luck

Hmmm also interesting, I will look through all the fuses and see if one is busted..
Also.., on the output of the car stereo, there are 4 tulip plugs for an external amp + speakers, I might try that instead of the 4 regular speaker output wires on the stereo.
Thanks !!

Found the solution !!! :iceslolan
The wiring harness you can buy in the store is not correct.
it tells you to attach the Blue wire (ANT REM) 0.1A max on the radio to the blue wire on the harness.
Well, the blue wire on the harness is for the external AMP, so you should hook the AMP REM 0.3A max to the blue wire on the harness and that fixed my problem !! yeahh...:smooch:
Hope this helps anybody out with a 93 concorde and a new sound system..
Cheers

Hey I just replaced my system in my 94 I have access to the tech manual you need to hood the power ant. wire up to your remote amp wire. the Concords have a amp that runs all the speakers. if you don't hook it up the amp will not turn on..
