Looking for performance mods

Hey, does anyone know of any performance mods for a 98 Lumina w/ a 3.1L engine? The only thing i can find are crappy CAI's and "performance chips" from ebay that are nothing more than a resistor that goes on the temp. sensor. I'm also interested in anything that would give the engine a "throaty" V8 kind of sound.
