Pop the control panel up(panel with window and lock controls), Remove the wire connectors from the control panel. Take the screw out in the upper left corner of the opening. Take the cover off around the handle and remove the long screw. Then lift the panel straight up and you will be able to get to the speaker.

take a look at the inside of your door for water damage. my speakers are taking a dump. its becouse water is getting inside the door. i have had it back to the stealers a few times so far thay cant find ware the water is getting inside the door. I have told them to use water on the door lol. up to a week after it rains the seals are still wet. heck the door lock and handles have frozen up to 5 days after a rain. all its got to do is rain for a hour and get cold befor it has time to evaprate. its a bear useing a hair dryer on the door just so i can open it every time the temp drops.

Absolutely, didnt do it yet, to cold outside, but if its an easy enough panel to get off, ill change both door speakers with something good,
Thank

I'm having problems with my drivers side speaker and the power mirrors. I took the door panel off and the speaker started working hmm... I'm thinking wiring or connector. I followed the wiring through the door with my hand and noticed that although there is a boot where the wires come in, there was no rubber grommet protecting the wire harness as it enters a hole inside the door. And I believe there may be some rubbing going on. I took the mirror controller apart and lost two more directions. I put everything back together and things are exactly the way they were before I opened the panel. I will dig deeper when I have more time and I have the service manual I ordered.
