carpet removal????

I was wondering if anybody, has removed their carpet in their 4Runner??? I an thinking about removing it and replacing it with one of those "do it yourself" bedliner kits form my local auto parts store because mine is shot!!! The owner before me used the cargo area as a bed of a pickup truck,(Greasy tool/parts staind, dirt stains, any kind of stains you name it) I have shampooed it twice, and it hasent made a big diffrence. I have had the 4Runner for about 2-3 years, and now it is starting to bother me. I was also wondering if it would be louder or quieter, hotter or colder??? :dunno:

It WILL be louder!
There is aftermarket carpet available just don't order the Toyota material it is very expensive.
