My 01 Accent's engine purrs too loud..

what could it be?? like the steering wheel vibrates a little too..I had the flex pipe changed, and i thought it would go away...





but no........................it didnt.

Could be motor mounts, and a broken exhaust somewere.

or it could be the rare accent with the option of a 5.2 liter V8 magnum ;)

is all that stuff fairly easy to fix? i got the flex pipe changed, but maybe the whole thing should have been changed??? I dontknow

well the flex pipe was a god place to start, usually they are the first to go. if thats not it, i wold check the rest of the exhaust for a leak or a back up. as for the motor mounts, they are not very easy to fix. but to find out if thats what it is or not, start the car, let it idle, when it starts to shake give it a little gas, enough to make the engine torque, if you feel it shift to far or hear it clank then the motor mounts have got to be replaced.
