Hi , i have a 03 yukon with factory keyless entry, a few weeks ago both of the transmitters stopped working, so i pu new batteries in them, and still nothing, so i got a set of instructions to reprogram it and i did it last night and it will program the Driver 1 transmitter every time, but when i go to program the driver 2 transmitter, it wont, and I even tried a spare transmitter and it wont proram either. Here is what I do
1 close all the doors
2 hold the unlock button and turn the key from ON-OFF-ON-OFF (the locks then lock and unlock by themselves to access programming mode)
3 Then hold the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter till the car locks and unlocks the doors by themselves to verify it worked
AND HERE IS THE PROBLEM
4 Repeat step 3 for all other transmitters
5 Turn the key to the on position to close programming mode ( and the car lcoks and unlocks and beeps the horn to verify)
And when i get to step 4 to programm additional transmitters the car doesnt pick them up at all, let me know if i need to do something else, thanks for reading

:banghead: I think your problem is 'time delay'....(2) things to pay attention to....1.you should program your #2 keyfob within a few seconds of the #1...2. sometimes it takes a few extra seconds for the 2 keyfob to respond, hold the keypads longer, up to 30-40 seconds.
If that does't work, program your #2 keyfob first, if it programs, you know it works....also, in your programming sequence, step 2 it is the unlock button on the door you hold..and only repeat step 3 for programming additional keyfob:rofl:

I did program #2 within a few seconds of #1, like as soon as the car recongnized #1 as being programmed I pushed and held the buttons on #2 for a while probably 30-40 seconds, and still nothing. Also #1 is the only one I can program, I cannot program any others as #1, no matter which one I try first #1 is the only one that will work, even an extra spare that I had wouldnt take. thanks!

 maybe just try to 'Resynchronize' the keyfobs (do not put it in program mode)...stand next to vehicle, hold down Lock & Unlock buttons on the keyfob at the same time (hold down for 15-35 seconds)...try all keyfobs....
if they still do not work, check inside the keyfob, make sure battery is in proper & making connection...maybe the other keyfobs are bad?....strange:evillol:
EDIT: if the above does not work, try again to program all the keyfobs, however if you can't program #2 keyfob first, then someting is wrong with that keyfob? they do go bad, not often, but they are rather cheap to replace, many on ebay....

I thought that maybe the battery wasnt any good, so i switch the battery in the #2(which wasnt working) to the #1(which was working) and it was still the same, but maybe the #2 is bad? i dont know, thanks!

It is possible that the remote is defective if a good battery doesn't get it to function...
