my friend crashed his the first week and he didn't want it anymore since the other guy paid for the car cause it was the other guys fault...he just totaled the side of the car, but the engine is still good....he said he would sell it to me for $2500, i just wanted to know if it'll fit before i buy it..

wow $2500 is a bad ass deal for a '06 Si motor...its going to take a lot of work and your probably going to spend more than $2500 but itll definitely worth it at that price

just the tranny, no ecu...he said that it's messed up...yeah i called him right now and he said to try a vtech/si ecu and that should work, but i don't know though....would it fit perfectly or no?....what else would i need to put it in and get it running?....i got his motor mounts already.....

you'll probably have to find an aftermarket ecu or another stock ecu. i don't think you can just swap any vtec ecu in there and have it work since it's a totally different engine. you'll need this mount (http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/EGK1). i know it says it's for a 92-95 civic, but they share the same mount as a 94-01 teg
