Whats up Guys? Im a Chevy lovin american car kinda dude but Im having too many problems with my monte carlo. Really thinking of buying a 95 or 96 Maxima. I just dont know if they are good cars or money pits or what. I need a car thats gonna last and no in the shop every 2 months. What do you think about the Maxima's?

i'm on my 2nd maxima, the first(a 95 SE) went to 180,000 miles and was still running strong when i traded it in for this one. i think they're great cars and i'm pretty sure most everyone in this forum does too. i really didn't have any problems with my 95 and my 02 has been treating me pretty well so far.

Max -93, works, is like new. But there is NO free miles. See the link below...

Generally, look at the problem lists for -96-99 cars. Select a good individual from the top, and youll get one from the top. Maxima is seen there... (I am for the Maxima inpendent rear suspension found at 3gen, 89-94)

I am also on my second maxima. I sold my 96 a year and and a half ago for my 2003. The only thing I fixed (on the 96)was the rear suspension at 110,000 miles. The 2003 has not had a single problem yet and it's got 48,000 miles on it.
