I started this few months ago so this won't be one of my two-year progress threads:)
The model will represent this car:

Starting point to this model is an old ARII 512BB kit that would have needed a lot of work to represent a street car so i decided to convert it to the "Competizione" specs.

Decals are from an old Scale Designs sheet bought from ebay:

Here is couple of photos from body modifications. I made new wheelarch extensions from plastic sheet and putty, front spoiler is reshaped and brake cooling air intakes are formed from plastic sheet:

The front end was reshaped, ARII's body is too wide at front so I narrowed it by taking a couple of millimeters from the center and glued the halves together:

The interior is almost totally scratchbuilt. Only kit supplied parts that i used are dash, seats and steering wheel:

Here is the body at its current stage, paint is ready and most of the decals are on:

Well, this one is mostly finished. I will have to steal those additional drivinglights from somewhere, but other than that it is ready for track.
I used Historic Racing Miniatures wheels and tires, Sakatsu antenna and numberlights and Seimitsuya's fuel caps. Rear spoiler and engine air intakes were made from putty and plastic sheets.

Hi Niko,
this one looks good and is probably a cheaper model than the Studio27 kit.
In your first posting you wrote, you will build the LeMans racer; so my questions: are you sure they drove with co-drivers seat? Didnīt you intend to replace the stock drivers seat with a racing seat? :dunno:

Well i dont have good references on this, but at least few years earlier co-drivers seat was obligatory on LM. I based the interior on pics of the restored car on these pics:
http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/24127.512.BBLM.htm
Seats are probably a little wrong, but because there were no better references available that will do.
And yes, that was some $ 120 cheaper than S27 model.

Hi,
I guess your reference material shows a former race car, nowadays equipped with a second seat to show co-drivers, how the cars handled.
In times, when these cars ran in LM, there was no second seat in the cars.
