SolidSnake2634

it came out pretty well. i had to redo some of the bars. and i got rid of the bars that were next to the door becuz they stopped the door from closing. i still need to paint it silver.

hay dude, heres a way to make one......
thake a piece of MDF 6mm sheet if you car is 1:24 you'll proberly want 3mm, then cut the size you want the intercooler to be then just get a junior saw and cut grooves every say 1mm and there ya go il post some pics later if i have some time ! :)

AMNES

Hey snake. I made my IC out of an aluminum plate. I suggest you make a project in a cad program, print it out on sticker paper and stick it to the aluminum. Then take a scalpel, and follow the lines you have, cutting through the paper, and making lines in the metal. Then take something with a sharp point made of a hard metal and scrape where you earlier made lines.
Cut the whole thing out with a saw, nicely polish and you have an AMNES style IC. I hope you understood, thats how i made mine.

to make the exhaust you can do aluminum tubing like keep on talking about or you can use electrical wire. i think 16 guage might work. be careful if you bend the aluminum too much it will not make a clean bend. it will do a wierd bend. but sublte bends are good.

for these exhaust..
you can use 2(two) different sizes of "drinking stray". then color it w/mettalic silver.

thanx, but what about the exhaust tips?
nosliw2004
02-09-2006, 10:50 PM
i would just buy aluminum tubing for the main exhaust then buy anohter tube of aluminum that is one size larger than the last so you can just slide it in the other one and use glue or something. or to take it to the next level get that stuff in my how to: chrome tutorial and make chrome tips. if you do the aluminum idea there won't be any mufflers or catelatic converts unless if you make them somehow. and on your solder roll cage, did you actlly solder the whole roll cage together?
SolidSnake2634
02-10-2006, 07:40 AM
i soldered most of it. some tiny parts required super glue. for the 350z, im going to have to buy another one and jack the interior since i screwed up the orange z's interior. Also, if anyone's planning on installing a roll cage, just remove the seats and the frame of the car. then put in the roll cage. (i super glued mine to the ground)
nosliw2004
02-10-2006, 11:07 PM
i just took my aluminum tubing and cut what was needed then superglued it to the car. nothing needed to be taken out except for the interior plate itself. and btw if you do use the aluminum you have to buy a little tube cutter found at your local hardware store.

02-11-2006, 11:23 PM
nope. solder is actually very soft. just use scissors. just cut 1-2mm more than u need because after you cut it with scissors, you'll need to file it to make it smooth. that's about it.
nosliw2004
02-12-2006, 03:19 AM
^solid yeah i know solder is soft. i was talking about if you do the aluminum tube.
SolidSnake2634
02-12-2006, 02:00 PM
i think you will need it. it also depends on the thickness or gauge of the aluminum.
nosliw2004
02-12-2006, 06:18 PM
@solid. yes i know you need it! i am saying that if you are going to use aluminum tubing for exhause you need to buy a tube cutter.
