Vaccum leak man....Id almost put money on it, take a squirt bottle and spray all of your vaccum lines, and around the manifold seals. If it stops for a second when you spray then you know you've got a leak....

Well can you get me a picture or diagram of the vaccum lines and dont say its the little rubber lines cause thats no help to me.

I couldn't find a diagram but I did find this. http://crxresource.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=117
And the vaccum lines are the black rubber hoses attached to the manifold, they are mostly grouped together on the firewall side of the manifold. They are small, and black....

Well i poped the hood and saw one black small hose on the driver side of the manifold so i pulled it off while the car was running and then it almost died. So then i went the the other side and saw 2 small black hose pulled the top one off and it idled really high pulled the pottom one off and did the same thing as the top. Now what do i do.

Why are you pulling hoses? You're supposed to spray them with water. If the problem corrects itself when you spray a hose then that hose has a hole in it. You can use duct tape temporarily over that hose until you replace it. Don't pull your hoses off cuz you'll just mess it up...

ok but the hose that im messing with is the right hose aint it

try using some soap with the water then when the air leaks out you'll see the bubbles. I used this when my accord had idle problems.

No its cold now and its still bouncing around.

your not looking for bubbles dude, it is a vaccum line! Your looking for your idle to change because the water is plugging the holes, a better way would be to pull each line and plug it, one at a time...this may not work though, mine dies when I pull the map sensor (which is what my idle problem was), It was a little loose and so it was leaking...You could try to cover your intake and listen for a whistling line too, make sure the engine stays running though.

I tried covering the intake and i didnt hear a whistle and i didnt hear no type of change when i sprayed the water on it and when i unplug the lines it just bogs down and eventualy dies. Could it be my idle screw?

I just dropped my friend off ok when i got to the first stop sign ( the idle is still bouncing up and down ) it just cut off on me. So i cranked it back up and the check engine light cam on. So then i looked and it blinked 1, 3,20 i think i just need a new engine and before itshut off at the stop sign it suked in then jerked and then died. Why is this happening to me?

dont have codes on top my head but 3 is a vacuum leak...1 is o2 sensor(oxygen sensor) and 20 is i think something with electrical...

Yea i think i just need a new engine.

code 1 is Primary o2 sensor either low or high voltage.
Probable Causes: Short or Open in o2 circuit, Primary o2 sensor bad, Fuel supply system, or PCM.

Code 3 is Manifold Absolute pressure circuit High Input
Probable Causes: Open or Short in MAP sensor Circuit, Map sesnor bad, or PCM.

Code 20 is Electrical load detector circuit high or low input.
Probable Causes: Electrical Load Detector bad, Electrical load dectecor circuit, or PCM.

i had this same problem with my civic when it had the stock motor... Go get a junk manifold and swap out all the sensors,, if that doesn't work flush your coolant.

ok will do as soon as i can..But i might be getting a new motor anyways.
