Maybe a unique problem:

For my recently overpriced purchase, (87 jetta gl 4dr 5 spd)..when i am driving, and i let my foot offthe throttle...the car wants to take a left and/or right turn...to the point of a collision, if i blink a second early. It also wants to go left/right, when i put my foot back into it.
I also notice that when i try turning, from a standstill, the belt squeals a bit and is a little jerky.
I am thinking that they are both related issues to a steering pump problem.
Please tell my either way, thanks:frown:

my jetta had wide tires on it when it quit running i took the rims and tires and put them o my honda and both cars pulled when you gas it fast and the jetta pulled when you let off as well

the squeal is probably a loose steering pump belt
