Electrical System Shorted

I have a 91 Prizm that was jumped from a spare 12 volt battery but was hooked up + to - then the ignation turned to start. The only visable evedence of this was the 100 Amp fuse on the + battery cable was blown. No power to ignation. Replaced fuse checked all other fuses everything works but will not start. Will fire at times while jumping but only with the key in the start position. Any and all help welcome. Rick.

Check the alternator to ,you blew for sure the alternator diodes to the sky or short them.
