Me and the wife got a 95 grandprix with 91,487 miles.Well, my friend told me to do a Carfax on it and we find out that the car had 139000 on it in 2/25/04!!!!!!!I know its odometer fraud and I went to the DMV and they were no help. The girl at the deck said "what is odometer fraud??"So,I left the Dmv and went to the dealer and showed him the Carfax papers and he was mad and really did not know what to say.He told me to wait until Wedesday when the other owners come back. What should they do for me and my wife.We put 1000 down on the car.Total price for the was 3495.
Now me and my wife think the car has 193,000 miles!!!!!!!But who knows????:disappoin

If the original owners put the mileage down on the title when they traded it in, the dealer is off the hook. If not, the dealer is the one guilty of the odometer tampering, and you should sue them. If the original owners did it, the dealer will have to pursue them to get their trade in money back. As far as you are concerned, the dealer has to either lower the price or give you your deposit back. Unless they give you an exceptional price, I'd pass on this car and find something else.

In most states you can file a complaint with the state's Attorney General. If it is a dealer or business you can file a Deceptive Trade Practices complaint. Regardless put the dealer on notice if they represented that was the actual mileage when they sold it to you. IMO - Dealer's always have responsibility in these type matters. Also, contact the Better Business Bureau. Exhaust all administrative remedies before taking legal action. In some states like Texas you can file a criminal complaint with the local District Attorney for Deceptive Trade and odometer fraud. Good luck!

Isn't that Honda quality and reliability amazing Troy......bikes too. At least I don't have to worry about an odometer on it.

Yea the the older Honda & Toyota's are something else. I think the quailty is slipping some on the new ones. That crazy car still got 31MPG going 80 + MPH. We only stuck about $500 rad, starter, alt, main relay, front end alinement which was $200 of the total. Nice bike Bob!

Thats probably because they are being assembled in North America. One thing about about Honda motorcycles is they are still "Made in Japan". I've only put one replacement piston (Wiseco) in since 2003. Tranny still shifts like when new. And its modded with VForce3 reeds and Pro Circuit Platinum exhaust. Takes a lickin' but keeps on tickin'. Now you know how I spend my free time other than with the GTP.
BTW - My brother had an older Accord that went over 200K miles and he finally had to scrap it only because of a bad accident with a pickup truck.
